In Himachal Pradesh, there are three small airports. Mostly rich people take this service as the charges are very high throughout the year. A good-quality bus can take Rs 1,200 max. However, a plane journey can cost up to Rs 10,000 or more.

5 Karsog
Karsog is a beautiful town. It comes in deistic Mandi. From New Delhi, it can take 15 hours to travel for the car. Taking a direct bus can take 14 to 16 hours. However, if you change the bus in Chandigarh and Shimla, then it will take 18 to 20 hours.
The journey is not boring at all. You can see beautiful mountains and different types of trees while travelling. Hotels are not very lavish but are decent. There is one government place to stay in Chindi. If PWD Rest House is full, then there are ample hotels to stay in across the city.
In December, January and February – one can enjoy snowfall. Places around Karsog such as Mahunag and Dhamun are the best places to visit. If you can’t s drive very well, then taking the help of local drivers will be the best option. They will save you time and effort.
During summers (April to August ), one should visit Shikari Devi. A beautiful temple is there. Please do not even try to visit Shikari Devi in winters. Otherwise – heavy snow, leopard, bear and other deadly animals can take your life. You can find many historical Hindu temples in Karsog.
People are very kind and helpful in Karsog. You just need to ask them about good temples – and they will tell you everything. Some can even invite you to do to visit their home. People can understand Hindi very comfortably. They can also understand English – but it can take time for some to make you understand in a better manner. However, most young boys and girls can help speak English very smoothly.
The place is very peaceful – and tourists won’t find cheaters charging extra money from you. However, doing bargaining in India is always a great thing.
4- Rampur Bushahr
Rampur Bushahr is a town, commonly known as Rampur. Four hours from Shimla to reach Rampur through bus and less than four form car. From New Delhi, it can take 15 hours from bus and 13 from the car. The place is very much developed. Many top brands of clothing and shoes are available in this town. Because of rich natural resources, people are very rich as the daily expenditure is very cheap.
In winters, many places around Rampur Bushahr can offer you snowfall. You have to visit Rampur Bushahr from November to December for seeing snowfall. F
ormer Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh owned a place as his father was the king of Rampur Bushahr before 1947. During his time as Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh donated land to many common people for making the state rich and self-sufficient.
People in Rampur Bushahr love Virbhadra Singh as he has helped the town to become developed. You can visit places like Anni and Luhri as they are one of two hours away from Rampur Bushahr. Lavi mela is very famous. In November, this fair happens. It pictures the tradition of Rampur Bushahr.
3 – Shrikhand Mahadev
Shrikhand Mahadev is a mountain filled with snow. In May, one can do tracking and reach the destination. The place is near Rampur Bushahr. It will take two to three days to enjoy this track. Old-age people should not think about Shrikhand Mahadev. It’s a young-men game. Shrikhand Mahadev is a place to worship the Hindu god Lord Shiva.
Do travel to Shrikhand Mahadev with good-quality shows. Please include local people in a group for safety reasons. A minor mistake on the show can cost a life. Do carry dry fruits for keeping your body warm. Do not smoke if it blows out your mind. Alcohol is prohibited as it can make tracking hard and at the same time, Lord Shiva won’t appreciate it. It is just about respecting the local traditions.
2 Kaza
Kaza is a very remote town. It will take 18 to 20 hours from car to reach the place from New Delhi. It’s a very remote place. Mobile network connectivity is not very good. Kaza is a beautiful place. In summers, it is best to enjoy the freshness of Kaza. Winters can be challenging for non-Himchalis.
1 Banjar
Banjar is not a hill station but holds traditional values. Shiva Temple is very famous. According to locals, Ravana made this temple to honour his beloved god Shiva. Banjar’s tea is also famous. It is very good for body benefits. Tea’s taste will be different – but it holds natural herbs.
Hotels in Banjar are very good. Locals in Banjar very kind and helpful at the same time. It will take 12 hours from car or bus to reach Banjar from Delhi. Many places near Banjar like Palampur and Kangra are very famous. If you want something different in Himachal Pradesh, then Banjar is a very good option.
