Samsung Announces Smart TV with NFT Capabilities
One of the biggest electronics makers in the world, Samsung Electronics, has observed the awe-inspiring popularity NFTs are and believes that they have something to offer these digital works. Samsung Electronics’ U.S. Samsung Newsroom released an overview of the latest offerings of MICRO LED Neo QLED, Lifestyle TVs featuring “cutting-edge personalized options.”
The NFT description is near the close of the announcement, which states it is “Samsung’s 2022 smart TVs will come with a brand new smart Hub.” Alongside “Gaming Hub, “Gaming Hub,” “Watch All” as well as an NFT Platform. “This application offers a simple integrated platform that allows for locating, buying, and trading digital artwork using MICRO LEDs, Neo QLED and The Frame,” Samsung’s announcement provides.
Samsung has also spoken on the NFT Platform in The Verge, a news publication. The Verge as the company acknowledged that it has seen the increasing popularity in NFT technology. Samsung Electronics claims that these new models will be first equipped with an NFT market and explorer. It is an integral part of the Bitcoin evolution process.
“With the demand for NFTs growing and the demand for a solution to the current fragmented purchasing and viewing marketplace has never been more urgent. By 2022 Samsung introduces the very first television-based NFT marketplace aggregator and explorer, an innovative platform that lets users browse, purchase and show their favorite artwork — all at one time,” Samsung said.
Samsung’s entrance into the realm of NFTs is happening because a number of famous names along with stars have jumped onto the NFT bandwagon. In the past year, there were one NFTs that were sold for millions in crypto-assets as well as several NFT projects have been able to accumulate a billion-dollar market cap.
