How to write an essay without problems

Essay writing can be a fun activity or cause a lot of problems and headaches. Some students prefer to struggle on their own, and others prefer to pay for essays online and get professional help.

There are different options available on the Internet when it comes to essay writing services. Some of them are free, and others are paid. It is up to you to decide which option is better for you.

Essay writing tips you may find helpful

If you choose to write your essay on your own, here are some tips that will help you. An essay is, without a doubt, a cornerstone of academic writing. However, simply writing an essay is not enough. It requires remembering and relying on a very specific structure, citing relevant sources, and being as original as possible, all that jazz. When all is said and done, the question is still how to write an essay. Giving an answer requires a couple of detours along the way, so let us begin.

First off, one has to discuss what essays are generally for. If you are a college student or even a high schooler, chances are you have already written a couple of essays and know well how to write an essay, but it serves to reiterate. Essays serve a specific function of handling an idea through the careful use of arguments and facts that either support, reject, or otherwise dismantle the original idea. Essays allow for a short and concise way of discussing and dissecting these ideas without delving too deep into them but still offering a well-thought and concrete response to the problem.

Essays, like most types of academic writing, have a specific structure that a student generally has to follow. They consist of three main parts, an introduction, the main body, and a conclusion. An introduction presents an argument and gives a general premise of the topic at hand. A classical introduction always contains a thesis statement at the end, and it is this thesis statement that the writer develops in the course of the essay.

The main body is where the author expands upon the thesis with relevant examples, sources, and personal additions, if necessary. The general consensus is that the main body should contain 3-5 paragraphs at the least, but there is no actual limit on how many (or how little) paragraphs the main body contains. Stick to the requirements, and that should be enough.

Once everything is written and developed, a conclusion serves as a general summary. Usually, no new information is added, so no references are required, but, in some cases, a conclusion allows the author to add something to the argument, not just summarize, but present an actual idea of their own. In other words, a conclusion is not just for summary alone; while it tends to be a summary, it can be used to expand upon the argumentation a little bit more.

Beyond that, essays have a few more requirements one has to be mindful of. A prospective essay writer, so to speak, does not use personal pronouns unless an essay requires personal experience with the topic and allows it. Idioms, exclusive phrases (“mankind” and so on), and colloquial expressions are also a big no-no. Citing and referencing are no less important: essays tend to follow a specific citation format, like MLA or APA. Not following the format required leads to a worse grade, so always take note of that. And cite, cite, cite! Whatever information that is not your own must be cited and properly referenced. But do not overdo it: reading citations in every sentence is a bit much.

To wrap up

In conclusion, if you want to write an essay, just follow the general three-part structure of the introduction, main body, and conclusion. Always remember to include the thesis statement and to cite relevant sources. Once you get good at it, creating and writing an essay will become a walk in the park for you.
