Columbia University
Columbia University in New York is ranked #2 on the National University rankings. It is a private Ivy League research university, and it is the fifth oldest tertiary institution in the United States of America and the oldest in New York.
It is a super selective school, with an acceptance rate of 7%. Almost all the students enrolled in Columbia University graduate (graduation rate is 95%). Tuition at Columbia costs $63,530 on average, and the undergraduate enrollment as of Fall 2020 was 6,170 students.
Cornell University
Cornell University is located in Ithaca, New York and is ranked #17 in the National University rankings.
The average tuition at Cornell is about $61,000 without financial aid, and undergraduate enrollment in Fall 2020 was 14,743 students.
New York University (NYU)
Ask a high school student what colleges are on their dream list, and you’ll hear NYU mentioned about half the time.
NYU is currently ranked #28 on the National University rankings and is located in New York. Expect to spend about $56,500 in tuition fees yearly. Student intake in NYU as of Fall 2020 was 27,444 students.
University of Rochester
Rochester University is a private research university located in Rochester, New York. It is ranked #34 on the National University rankings. It has an acceptance rate of 35% and a graduation rate of 85%.
You can expect to pay tuition fees of around $59,344 per year. In Fall 2020, its undergraduate enrollment was 6,521 students.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Founded in 1824, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is located in Troy, New York. It was founded to apply the knowledge of science to all areas of life.

Yeshiva University
Yeshiva University, located in beautiful New York, is ranked #68 in National Universities, tied with Fordham University. It is a private research university with four undergraduate schools: Yeshiva College, Katz School of Science and Health, Stern College for Women, and Syms School of business, which offer a dual curriculum inspired by the philosophy of Torah Umadda.
The majority of the students that attend Yeshiva University are of the Jewish faith. Tuition at Yeshiva costs $47,500 yearly. Fall 2020 undergraduate enrollment was 2,017.
Binghamton University- SUNY
Binghamton University is a part of the State University of New York system and is located in Binghamton, New York. It is #83 in the National Universities ranking. Reviewers rated it four stars out of five.
Tuition at Binghamton University is pocket friendly, as in-state tuition costs only $10,319 and out-of-state tuition costs $27,909, which is almost half the tuition price of the other universities on this list.

Stony Brook University – SUNY

Tuition at Stony Brook University for in-state students is $10,410 and for out-of-state students is $28,080. There is a significant difference between the two, but both are more affordable than some of the other universities on the list.
