Bitcoin and cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) have become no longer a joke. It was inspired by the dog meme and depicted as a ‘Dogecoin killer’ SHIB was the most-viewed cryptocurrency of 2021. It beat out the competitors like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which announced a price-tracking site CoinMarketCap. Find out about Bitcoin Prime so that you can earn more.
According to CoinMarketCap, the Dogecoin spinoff has logged more than 18 million views in the last twelve months, while the apex cryptocurrency Bitcoin was second, with 145 million viewers in 2021. It’s important to note the fact that SHIB stands at the moment as the 13th biggest cryptocurrency in the world having a market value of $20 billion.
In contrast, Dogecoin ranked at third place in the top three cryptocurrency categories with 107 million views while Cardano was able to get around 86 million views. Ethereum received 8 million views.
The rise of SHIB is believed to be due to billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk tweeting a photo showing The Shiba Inu meme heading to the Moon on October 18. At the time, the cryptocurrency was traded for $0.000026 (Rs. 0.0020). The tweet of the author pushed the currency by 50 percent and reached a peak at $0.000044 (Rs. 0.0033) as per the coin market cap.
Another important reason is reporting within the crypto community that SHIB is soon to become listed in the renowned trading app for stocks, Robinhood. An online petition called Change.org has also urged Robinhood to put the SHIB coin through its website. The petition has garnered more than 3 lakh signatures.
It’s not the first time that SHIB was named the most talked about cryptocurrency. In October, earlier the data collected by ICO Analytics revealed Shiba Inu was the most talked-about cryptocurrency during October, and received an average of 22 percent of discussions about crypto assets through the site, surpassing Ethereum in the process by 8.1 percent, and Bitcoin with 7.2 percent.
Through Twitter, SHIB supporters have been vocal with hashtags like #SHIBARMY #ShibaSwap #shibain and #SHIB — in order to help rally in support of the meme currency.
In the meantime, crypto Safemoon, Solana, Cardano as well as Binance are among the top ten most talked about cryptocurrency coins on Twitter according to the graph published by ICO Analytics. But none of the cryptocurrencies even come as popular as SHIB.
Incredibly, nearly 70.52 percent of SHIB’s circulation has been controlled via eight Whale accounts of which one whale accounts for 41.03 percent. That means that all whales have earned at minimum 800 percent gains from their investments in this month.
